Make no mistake—the weaponizing of federal law enforcement to go after elected officials who the President deems as “political opponents” is a chilling and dangerous abuse of power that must be stopped.

We stand in solidarity with Rep. Omar and the Somali American community, and Rep. McIver.

Today Trump’s Department of Homeland Security raided U.S. Congresswoman Rep. Ilhan Omar’s house in a gross abuse of power. This comes as DHS and DOJ have abused and weaponized their power to pursue Congresswoman Rep. LaMonica McIver for doing her job this last year. Make no mistake—the weaponizing of federal law enforcement to go after elected officials who the President deems as “political opponents” is a chilling and dangerous abuse of power that must be stopped. We stand in solidarity with Rep. Omar and the entire Somali American community which has been under attack by this President time and time again, and with Rep. McIver who is still fighting this abuse of power in the courts. We will not stay silent.
